Temptation

Many people along with myself have fallen victim to temptation. The idea of finding pleasure in something at first but later regreting that it even took place to begin with. Temptations may vary from person to person so managing them can be tricky. Where one may succumb to a tempting treat that isnt necessiarily healthy after a meal, another may not be able to resist a risky oportunity that could potentially bring them closer to their dreams. It would be wise to be honest with your weaknesses when dealing with temptations because this is what it thrives off of. The lack of control to resist instant satisfaction of certain aspects of life could be the "kryptonite" of a person who is impatient and/or overly optimistic for a positive outcome. You really have to look at tempting moments for what they are and what they could do to you if you wish to indulge in them. The saying "good things come to people who wait" is perfect for this topic. Just because a moment may present itself as something amazing upfront is enough for you to miss a great downfall waiting for you around the corner. Theres nothing wrong with wanting to feel good, but when the negatives outweigh the positives you probably should look for pleasure elseware (it will more than likely benefit you down the road). All in all, if your in a predicament where you cant decide whether to give in to temptation or not. Just ask yourself one question. "Am I going to regret this later"?
